We no longer put on “standard” architectural shingles. Shingles that are NOT Impact Resistant (Class 3 & Class 4) receive an ACV schedule after 10 years. That means the depreciation is non-recoverable.
Impact Resistant shingles receive an insurance premium discount with more companies. Our estimates begin with Class 3 Impact Resistant shingles for the same price as “standard shingles”.
We have sample boards in the office to borrow.
