Meet Amanda

I started working as an adjusting intern in 1999.  I later went on to handle multi-line claims including auto, property, casualty, general liability, product liability and malpractice.  Around 2014, I switched from the insurance side to the contractor side.  I have adjusted a lot of “cat storms” and I know the devastation that weather can bring upon a home.  I also know the frustration a homeowner faces when they don’t know how to navigate insurance or they feel like they aren’t getting a fair shake from a contractor.  I can help you through your repair process, whether it be through insurance or out-of-pocket.

 AIC

I hold an AIC (Associate in Claims) designation from the Insurance Institute of America with support from the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters. This was a rigorous program which gives me the same professional designation (if not higher) than the adjuster with whom I work with to get homeowners their claims’ benefits under their insurance contract. Insurance claims do not have to be overwhelming. I am happy to help every homeowner navigate the process and put their home back in pre-loss condition.

HAAG

I am also a HAAG Certified Residential Roof Inspector.  In the roofing and insurance industries, the phrase “HAAG Certified” carries a lot of weight. It indicates that an inspector can effectively and efficiently inspect and assess damage. The inspector’s report conclusions has a deeper level of credibility.  Thanks to the inspector’s skills and knowledge gained from working with forensic engineers, they know how to assess all major types of damage.

Get to Know Me

In my “freetime”, which is sparse, I spend my time autodidactically on coding, graphic design and video editing to make the media for our business and the nonprofits we support.  My husband, Michael Hunt, and I founded Rock Our Recovery after he celebrated 26 months of sobriety.  Although that chapter is closed, we enjoy supporting nonprofits centered around addiction and recovery.

An Imparting Word

Fixing your home doesn’t need to be a bigger headache than the condition you are trying to fix.  I have worked with a lot of good people throughout the decades and I always strive to send a homeowner to a reputable contractor, whether that be my team or a competitor.  The way that I see it, there is enough for work everyone and we are all on the same side – the homeowner’s side.
